Ralph Steele

Ralph Steele is the founder of Life Transition Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he serves as the guiding meditation teacher. He has practiced Theravadin Buddhist meditation for over three decades and taught since 1987, including at such venues as Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Insight Meditation Society. He completed a year of intensive practice as a monk in Burma and in Thailand. Along with his interest in preserving the Theravada tradition, he is dedicated to making the dharma available to culturally diverse populations. He has also worked with youth around the country. He is a disabled Vietnam vet.

Sabina Schulze

Sabina Schulze is a licensed body therapist and yoga teacher. She has practiced Buddhist meditation for over fifteen years and is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leaders program of Spirit Rock Meditiation Center. As a painter and cancer activist, she explores the healing power of art and organizes art events to promote breast cancer awareness.

Amy Lashway-Cisneros

Amy is a licensed, master level therapist and a nationally certified counselor and has been in the field of mental health and addictions since 1989. She graduated from The University of Massachusetts in 1991 with a BS in Psychology and from The University of New Mexico in 1997 with her Masters in Counselor Education. Amy has trained in a variety of settings such as residential treatment centers, crisis shelters, psychiatric hospitals, private practice and intensive workshops. For nine years she worked at The Life Healing Center of Santa Fe as The Director of Admissions and Aftercare, a Primary and Individual Therapist and Director of Medical Records.

Russell Brown

If someone had told me at the age of 10 that I would grow up to be a psychiatrist I probably would have said “ no way”. At that age just as many other young boys I was setting my hopes on becoming the next Willie Mays. In fact I loved Willie Mays so much that it felt at times that I was the great Say Hey Kid himself. At other times he was like a second dad or at the least a family member. We were connected in a way that is hard to explain. The relationship with Willie was what I considered to be mystical.
